THE PRINCE OF WALES AND THE DUCHESS OF CORNWALL
The Prince of Wales (heir to the British throne) and his
wife, the Duchess of Cornwall, expressed their support for
the McCann family. Clarence House said: “The Prince of Wales
and the Duchess of Cornwall have been following the case of
Madeleine McCann closely and with deep concern for the
parents and fervently hope that Madeleine will be safely
returned to her family as soon as possible. [Prince
Charles’] thoughts and prayers remain with Mr and Dr McCann
at this very difficult time.”

JK ROWLING
Harry Potter author JK Rowling has offered a
staggering amount to a $3 million dollar reward
fund for Madeleine McCann, a missing British
girl. The British tabloid 'News of the World'
reported that while the Harry Potter author
asked for the precise sum to be kept secret, the
donation is larger than the highest announced
pledge of $495,000. In addition, posters of
missing Madeleine McCann were made available to
book retailers around the world at the request
of Harry Potter author JK Rowling. She arranged,
with the help of her publishers, for a poster to
be made available for book retailers worldwide.

BRYAN ADAMS
The Canadian singer Bryan Adams gave the "Find Madeleine"
campaign permission to use his song 'Everything I Do I Do It
For You' as part of the publicity drive. He also announced
on 26th June that he was set to dedicate a concert he was
playing in Malta to Madeleine McCann. He thought that Malta
could be significant to the search because there had been a
number of possible sightings of the four-year-old on the
holiday island.

MARTIN JOHNSON
Martin Osborne Johnson CBE (born March 9, 1970) is a former
England rugby union player and captain. Johnson was born in
Solihull in the West Midlands. At the age of seven, his
family moved to Market Harborough, Leicestershire, where
Martin attended Ridgeway Primary School, Welland Park School
and Robert Smyth School, where his father still works as a
caretaker. Johnson briefly played American football for the
Leicester Panthers as a tight end or defensive end. The
Leaving No Stone Unturned appeal, based on a website, was
kicked off at the Walker football stadium in Leicester. As
well as Martin Johnson, the launch included Esther McVey, a
family friend; Madeleine's uncle John McCann and great uncle
Brian Kennedy; Dr Doug Skehan; lawyer Rosamund McCarthy and
Ann Thomas, from the International Family Law Group. |

BRIAN ASHTON AND ENGLAND RUGBY TEAM
The England rugby team has lent its support to the campaign
to find missing Madeleine McCann during a pre-World Cup
training camp in Portugal. The players donned specially-made
white T-shirts displaying the four-year-old's face during
training at Vilamoura in the Algarve. The squad's training
base is east of the Praia da Luz resort where Madeleine
disappeared from the family's holiday apartment on May 3.
The T-shirts featured her face on the front and the 'Look
for Maddie' logo and www.findmadeleine.com
website address on the back. Madeleine's parents Kate and
Gerry met with England head coach Brian Ashton on Tuesday
night and thanked him for the team's support. (Last photo is

Celtic and Aberdeen footballers wore yellow ribbons at their
game in mid-May, following a request from Madeleine's aunt
Phil McCann. Celtic captain Neil Lennon said they would be
making the gesture to mark Madeleine's fourth birthday. "The
thoughts of everyone at Celtic Football Club are with
Madeleine and her family at this very difficult time," he
said.
"We can't imagine the horror that they are going through at
the minute.
"It is important that it is highlighted to the family that
they are in our thoughts and prayers at this time." He urged
anyone with information to come forward to police.
