SOMBRE Kate McCann lights a candle for Claudia Lawrence after a march to mark the missing chef's 37th birthday.
 

Kate, whose daughter Madeleine disappeared in 2007, joined Claudia's father Peter at the event. It ended at York Minster, where there was a prayer vigil for Claudia and all other missing people.
 

Kate, 42, of Rothley, Leics, who has been in frequent touch with Claudia's mum Joan, said: "Our daughters are different ages and the circumstances are very different but we share the same pain, fear and hope. It is nice to be able to support each other. Unless you have been in that situation it is difficult to understand."
