British
authorities have sent a new request to
Portugal within the scope of the case of
the disappearance of Madeleine McCann,
at the same time that Scotland Yard
officers are preparing themselves in
order to return to the Algarve next
month.
According
to news from the UK today, Portuguese
authorities have revealed that the
British authorities in charge of the
investigation have sent a new letter of
request, however its contents have not
been revealed.
“When the
contents of the letter (which was sent
to us by the British authorities) have
been classified, we will not have any
comment to make on the subject”, stated
a source for the General Prosecutor,
quoted by the Daily Mail.
Remember
that recently, excavations were carried
out in three areas close to the resort
the child disappeared from. In addition,
four people of interest were previously
interrogated this summer.
Madeleine
McCann disappeared a few days before her
fourth birthday, on 3rd May, from the
bedroom where she was sleeping with her
younger twin siblings, in an apartment
in the tourist resort, Praia da Luz,
Algarve. |
