What we have witnessed in the Algarve,
concerning the disappearance of a
English child seven years ago, is a
spectacle that should embarrass the
English police. They are not looking for
the remains of the girl, nor for
culprits. Thy are just trying to find an
excuse. All of this is a ridiculous
farce. The search for guilt is a
smokescreen that eludes the excuse.
A few months ago, the British detectives
that lend themselves to this circus were
a success in a television program titled
'Crimewatch'. With record-breaking
ratings. They put millions of people
looking for similar individuals to
e-fits that Portuguese PJ had already
created, pedantically announcing with
the arrogance of advertising agents that
they had attained hundreds of clues and
that, unofficially, the abduction of
Maddie was on the verge of being solved.
From English paedophiles, one arrested
in Manchester and initially divulged as
the author of the kidnapping, which was
soon disproved, to paedophiles from
anywhere in the world.
Seven years later, the story changes
dramatically. There is no abduction. It
was all an invention and
misinterpretation of the evidence. What
really happened was a burglary of the
apartment, done by three sophisticated
Portuguese house burglars who were
caught in the act by the girl who slept
in the bedroom with her two siblings.
Maddie would have screamed and those
sophisticated thieves rather than
silencing her with a punch or with a
bullet, no sir. They did not steal
anything. But they were suddenly
overcame with the desire to take revenge
on the girl. So, they carried her
through the window and then decided to
kill her in a nearby field. They buried
her and went on with their lives, happy
and content, but with empty hands. Oh,
and it is known that they were
Portuguese. And they are three. Even
though the English police suspect of
eight people.
All of this, it's a ridiculous farce.
The truth is that the search for guilt
is a smokescreen that eludes the excuse.
The criminal investigation is not an act
of witchcraft, astrological prediction
or demented hypotheses. It is a logical,
rigorous method. Those who follow this
case seriously know where the key to the
mystery lies. Within the group that came
to spend holidays with Maddie's parents.
Part of this group lied to the police.
Part of this group eluded the truth.
This whole group is not willing to do
the reconstruction of the facts. And to
ignore this group signifies not
searching for the guilt. It's making up
excuses to leave these people alone.
