The civil complaint that was filed by
the McCann family against Gonçalo Amaral
and other defendants will begin to be
tried on Thursday, September 12, 2013,
at the Civil Court of Lisbon, from 9.30
a.m.
Other trial sessions have been scheduled
for the 13th, 19th, 20th and 27th of
September.
At the heart of this trial lies Gonçalo
Amaral's book "The Truth of the Lie",
which tells the story of the
investigation into the disappearance of
Madeleine McCann in Praia da Luz, on the
3rd of May, 2007, until the day that Mr
Amaral was removed from his post as
coordinator of the Portuguese Judiciary
Police's office in Portimão.
