Kate McCann, mother of Madeleine,
highlighting the first disappearance of
Nicola Grobler |
A BIRMINGHAM teenager has gone missing for a second time – sparking
concerns from police that she may be “exploited”.
Nicola Grobler, 14, was last seen leaving an address in Harborne on
August 17, saying she was going to visit a friend in
Walsall.
The South African-born schoolgirl, whose mum lives in Northfield,
vanished barely a month after being found on the day
her image was used to help launch a new campaign to
locate runaways.
On that occasion, Kate McCann, the mum of missing Madeleine McCann,
posed in front of a picture of her at the city
Bullring complex.
Acting Det Insp Dave Amos said: “We have some confirmed sightings
of her in central Birmingham and most recently
Stechford but her mother is desperately worried she
hasn’t made contact.
“If anyone knows where Nicola is, or believes they have seen her,
we’d urge them to contact us or the Missing People
charity.”
Nicola is white, around 5ft 7ins tall with long wavy brown hair, a
fair complexion and blue eyes.
Anyone with any information about her whereabouts should call
Birmingham South Police on 101 or Missing People on
116000 via phone or text.
