Grovelling
... letter |
|
A TROLL who set up a Facebook page mocking the disappearance of
Madeleine McCann has written a grovelling apology to her parents.
Student Jack Tims, 17, sparked fury after we revealed he created a page
titled: "If I Get 1 million Likes I'll Let Maddie Go."
But the shop worker claims he was shocked by the revulsion it caused.
He said it was a "stupid, naive" prank which got out of hand ? and that
he never meant to hurt Kate and Gerry McCann, whose daughter vanished in
2007 aged three.
Sicko Tims, of Herne Bay, Kent, said: "I was chatting to a friend about
jokes comedians come out with and created the page. When it got in The
Sun it hit home how much I distressed people." He then whinged: "I
received threats and this could cost me friends. I only hope the McCanns
can forgive me."
We revealed his page in our Target A Troll campaign against web bullies.
