Madeleine Supporters Bring Strength To Family |
|
|
The parents of Madeleine McCann have told how messages of support from the
public are getting them through their dark hours.
It is 11 weeks since the four-year-old girl vanished from
the holiday resort of Praia da Luz
in Portugal.
Gerry and Kate McCann have vowed to stay in the Algarve until they find Madeleine.
Their Find Madeleine website has been flooded with messages
of support from well-wishers across the world, and Gerry
says it is giving them strength to get through their ordeal.
Writing in his blog, Gerry added: "Kate and I spent some
time reading through them and your messages do help us,
especially on days when we are feeling particularly low.
"Our search for Madeleine is nothing without public support
and we would like to give our thanks to everyone who has
helped us in any way over the last 77 days."
Some of the latest messages are:
:: Can't believe how long it has been. I truly believe
she is out there alive and well. I just think if it was not
good news you would have known by now.
Love to the twins, Kate and Gerry - you are an inspiration
to the world over.
:: Don't give up hope. Do not stop until you find your
angel. I hope you have all the support and guidance you need
to continue your search for Madeleine.
Keep her face everywhere and hopefully she will come back to
you.
:: Truly hope Maddie is returned to her family safe and
well. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family.
:: With so many friends of Madeleine's around the world
looking for her we are sure, with God's help, she will be
back home with her family soon.
Our prayers and thoughts and admiration for the way you are
coping under such duress are with you.
:: Dear Kate and Gerry, I am writing to you again to let you
know that Madeleine and yourselves
are still on my mind.
Today I saw Madeleine's picture again, as it is featured in
the petrol stations in
Belgium.
I wanted to let you know that I am strongly sympathising
with you, being a mother of two daughters myself, one of
which is exactly Madeleine's age. |
