A Cannock woman who allegedly claimed she was collecting money for missing
Madeleine McCann has appeared in court.
Debbie Clifton, 33, of Boswell
Road, was charged with two offences of theft -
£2.70 in cash and a garden ornament worth £4 - and causing criminal damage.
She appeared at Cannock Magistrates' Court on Tuesday and was remanded in
custody until next Monday. No application for bail was made.
Madeleine, four, disappeared from the family's holiday apartment in Portugal.
