Robert Murat's girlfriend has been named as an official suspect in the
disappearance of Madeleine McCann.
The Portuguese newspaper 24 Horas reported that Michaela Walczuch, 32, was made
an arguida after a witness claimed to have seen her with a small girl two days
after four-year-old Madeleine went missing last May.
A spokesman for the Portuguese police said yesterday that she had "no
information" about Miss Walczuch being made an official suspect.
Murat was the first person to be named an official suspect in May. At the same
time, police interviewed Miss Walczuch and her former husband, Luis Antonio.
She has always vigorously denied being involved in Madeleine's disappearance
and said last year: "I feel very sad to see my name involved in the
disappearance of Madeleine McCann. These reports are ridiculous." |
