The purpose of this site is for information and a record of Gerry McCann's Blog Archives. As most people will appreciate GM deleted all past blogs from the official website. I feel of all the photographs I took in PDL this is the most poignant. It expresses so clearly the sadness that surrounds this case without the need for words

177 -TENNIS COURTS

Two pics of the tennis courts frequented by the couple McCann. The Tapas bar is the building with the round, tiled roof to the left of the first pic. Apartment 5a is at the end of the right hand building which is partly obscured by trees and the Tapas bar.

POOLThe Tapas bar can just be seen at the extreme right of the pic and the kiddies pool where the alleged 'last photo' was taken is to the extreme left just beyond the white loungers.

A view of the road the alleged abductor would have used after exiting the car park behind apartment 5a.The exit to the car park is just after the lamppost and here he would have turned right crossing the road at the turning (where JT alleges she saw him) and heading for who-knows-where. There are however residences all along that road and he was taking a huge risk of being seen by choosing that route

 - Another pic of the window of 5a with the window of 5b on the right hand side.
The window to the extreme right is the Oldfield's apartment.

There is a gap in the wall just along from where I took the photo to allow cars to enter and exit the car park and at that point the window is totally exposed. You can however see the window fairly well at any point along the road Dr Francisco Gentil Martins. This was the window, covered in fingerprint dust.   By

 - Apartment 5a . Notice the thick foliage.

281- CHAPLIN'S BAR The picture below is the inside of Chaplains. The restaurant itself is quite small although  there is seating outside. The meals are of average quality and what with that and the rather tired decor. The staff are very friendly ( the owner is the blonde woman at the back of the picture ).The owners sister-in-law, who is Portuguese, is at front of house and is very welcoming. Children are made especially welcome with pictures supplied for them to colour while they wait for their meal and a whole wall given over to their finished work.
